Our Concept
With 18 rooms, Puertas del Bosque is a luxurious and relaxing option that mixes the local history of the space it’s located in with the modernity and comfort of its rooms, installations and services. With this, a perfect union between contemporary design and tradition is achieved, all rounded up in an unconventional hospitality option in Mexico City.
The Hacienda itself has a few communal areas (roof garden, terrace, library), spacious rooms, as well as an unequaled service and staff attention. Concierge-like service, attention to the guests, and 24/7 security are a few of the details that set this hacienda apart from the rest.

History
Puertas del Bosque is located in a cultural space, currently protected by INAH, the Mexican branch of government which regulates archeological and historic spaces, in what used to be a 17th century hacienda.
The history of this spectacular structure goes even further back, a few centuries more, when Martin Cortés, the son of conquistador Hernán Cortés, owned the hacienda and had wheat mills. These same mills were later used as the first structures to manufacture paper, craft that continued until 1985, under the company “Fábricas de Papel de Loreto y Peña Pobre”.
After the definitive closure of this paper factory in 1985, Nice to See You acquired the hacienda and decided to give it another use, and converted the factory into a contemporary and modern hospitality concept, which opened its doors in 2010, following the tendencies of structural changes in the use of the areas, as to be able to preserve the historic spaces of our history.
Throughout “Puertas del Bosque” you will be able to find vestiges of the history of this place, in its architectonic spaces and physical relics. All of the buildings and finishes remain intact, this due to the fact that, since it is a protected historic space, the renovations have to be minimal. However, they can and have taken advantage of other areas, such as the rooms and the communal spaces, where intervention is allowed, adding design and modernity into every possible aspect.
This eclectic union resulted in a calm and tranquil space, all the while maintaining the complicated simplicity of a century-old historic structure and finding the personality touches in materials and forms.
Currently restored into a luxury concept, with contemporary and complete rooms, history is only perceived when looking for it, since at first glance this hacienda and its spaces are a faithful representative of comfort and modernity, in a contemporary surrounding.
Location
Amidst one of the biggest cities in the world you can find “Bosque de Tlalpan”, a not very well known forest in the middle of the city, from which “Nice to See You” drew the inspiration for the name “Puertas del Bosque”.
Located at the south end of the city, “Puertas del Bosque” provides an oasis of tranquility in a fast-paced and active city, and is just mere meters away from this protected natural area.
Apart from adding to the sense of tranquility, Tlalpan forest provides a completely different scenery for the traveler that wishes to discover a new and unusual Mexico City.
The southern part of the city characterizes itself for being an area filled with culture and tradition, portraying an endless array that provide a more complete and rounded view of this enormous city.
